Verkligheten embrace the angst with “Aldrig du”

Verkligheten released a new single called “Aldrig du” and it’s everything you need to travel back in time to feel like that cool hipster kid from an art school again. And did you know there’s this one conspiracy theory that Soilwork named their latest album after this fellow Swedish band? #weknowthatyouknowthatweknow

“Aldrig du” is the first single from Verkligheten’s upcoming EP that will be released in April 2019. The song describes the thoughts of a person in a state between hope and despair. The single is the first song with Verkligheten’s Edwin Ekstedt as the main vocalist.

It’s not a secret anymore – Verkligheten is really one of the coolest things to come from Sweden in the past year or so, I said it a million times and you know that. And trust me, your Swedish friends will consider you as the ultimate cool cat once you mention Verkligheten to them cause chances are, they never heard about them just yet…

This track will tear you between the Scandinavian charm of the you-can’t-help-but-fall-for-it-sound of Verkligheten that you’re already familiar with and the clinginess of old-school Placebo hits like “Every You Every Me”. And no matter how sketchy this description might sound like… It works.

So what do you think? Are we about to hear one of the best EP’s of 2019? Let’s wait until April to find out, but the chances are pretty good. 🤷🏻‍♀️
